Good commanders accept the consequences of war. Great commanders avoid them. Command training will prepare you to be great commanders...the type of commanders who understand that no life is expendable. The battlefield is NOT a chessboard. There are no pieces up for sacrifice. There are no do-overs. When mistakes are made in battle, lives are lost. Commander Lee, XO of the battleship Aries, at your service. War entails the possibility of death, but you and I know death is not an option. The days when armies of men marched against one another in battles of attrition, battles to the death, are a thing of ancient history. Your goal in this class will always be the same: bring every soldier back home; leave no man behind; complete the mission without human casualties. It's that simple. Let us begin.
